Kate grew up in Hingham, Massachusetts and Canton, Connecticut and currently resides in Madison, New Jersey. In 1996, she received her BA from Connecticut College, with a major in English. During her time at Conn, Kate worked in both the Connecticut College and the United States Coast Academy writing centers, and also volunteered in New London tutoring students who were studying for their GEDs.
After graduation, Kate moved to Boston and worked for Bridge Information Systems, a financial information company, in a sales support role. After two years in Boston, she moved to New York City and transferred to the electronic trading side within Bridge. She spent the next several years with Bridge Trading Systems doing both sales and technical support for one of their electronic trading applications.
In July of 2002, Kate went to Credit Suisse as an electronic trading specialist supporting the in-house trading system. In June 2003 she moved with her husband to Boston where she transitioned into a project manager focusing on long term projects and training, including spending one month in London as an interim manager.
In 2005, Kate resigned to be a full-time mother, and in 2007 her husband’s job relocated them to London for two years. She currently resides in New Jersey with her husband and their two children.
